How did the landscape of New England affect how and where people lived in the late 1700's and early 1800's?
It was mainly in the early 1700s when New England was the main part of the USA. They did not want to be close to Indians. Much of New England has rocky and hilly land making it difficult to farm. People tended to live near the coast or rivers.ChaCha!
