How did the Sino-Japanese war begin?
The First Sino-Japanese War was fought between Qing Dynasty China and Meiji Japan, primarily over control of Korea. On June 1, 1894, the Tonghak Rebel Army moved toward Seoul. The Korean government requestsed help from the Chinese government to suppress the rebellion.
