How did the Spanish-American war affect both the Philippines and Cuba?
After the war, Cubans did not allow to be ruled by the USA, and therefore, the USA were forced to grant them their independence, but with the Platt amendment, that allowed them to intervene in Cuba whenever they wanted. With the Philippines, the USA engaged in a bloody war. The Philippine's suffered 34,000–1,000,000 casualties.
