How did two revolutions and civil war bring about communist control of Russia?
The main thing which led to the collapse of the Tsarist regime was the First World War. Huge Russian defeats at Tannenberg and the Masurian Lakes made the government look incompetent and the brilliantly engineered revolution allowed Lenin to control.
