Minutes after hitting the winning shot that gave his team a perfect season, high school basketball player Wes Leonard, 16, from Fennville, Michigan died. The cause of death isn't certain but he was recovering from the flu. A two-sport athlete, he had scored over 1,000 points in basketball and quarterbacked the football team to the Southwestern Athletic Conference North Division championship, passing for seven touchdowns in the victory that won the title.
