How did Zeus defeat Cronos?
Fearing his kids would overthrow him, Cronus (Zeus's dad) had swallowed the five children born before Zeus. Zeus, the 6th child, had not been swallowed though, and when came of age, he loosed the prisoners of Tartarus, made war on Cronus, and won!
