How do doctors find out if I have herpes on my face?
Your healthcare provider will look at the sores and see if they seem typical of a herpes outbreak. If they are, your provider may swab the sores to see if they contain virus. ChaCha on!

About Herpes
Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by the herpes simplex viruses type 1, or most commonly, type 2. Most people show no, or minimal symptoms from HSV-1 or HSV-2 infection. When the symptoms do appear, it’s usually as blisters on or around the genitals and rectum. The blisters soon break, leaving sores that can take up to a month to heal the first time the occur. More outbreaks can occur months after the first, but are usually shorter and less severe. It is still possible to spread herpes between outbreaks. For this reason, it is imperative that persons infected with herpes always take precautions like wearing a condom to prevent the spread of the disease.
