How do dolphins in salt water get the fresh water to drink?
Dolphins get most of the water they get from their food (fish and squid). Also, when they metabolize (burn) their fat, water is released in the process. Thank you for using ChaCha!

About Water
Water is by far the most important substance on Earth. Water covers over 70 percent of the planet and makes up between 50 and 75 percent of the human body. In fact, it's one of the only things we are positive needs to be present for life to exist. When scientists look for life in our solar system and on exoplanets, they are looking for liquid water.
