How do I get the playstation to data download to work so I can play PS2 games on my PS3?
There is no such thing as a "data download" which allows backwards compatibility in recent model PS3s to play PS2 games. Sony stopped adding backwards compatibility to PS3 models in 2008, with the 80 GB PS3 being the final model to offer PS2 backwards compatibility. Backwards compatibility is a hardware requirement. You can't "download" hardware changes to a PS3 console.
