How do I treat a jellyfish sting?
Most jellyfish stings are treatable at home: deactivate stingers (wash off USING SEA WATER and rinse with vinegar--except Chesapeake Bay sea nettle stings), remove remaining stingers (apply shaving cream or seawater and baking soda / talcum powder), relieve pain (ice and skin creams such as calamine lotion or rinse with hot water). For severe stings, emergency treatment may be needed: resuscitation, life support, antivenom, and pain control. Severe stings may require hospitalization 6-8hrs min.

About Jellyfish
Jellyfish are by far some of the strangest creatures on Earth. They range in size from less than a centimeter across to the size of a few people standing together in a close group. The can be completely transparent or bright and colorful, they are found on the coasts, on the surface of the seas, the deepest cracks of the ocean. They are mostly found in salt water, although there even a couple of fresh water species. They are beautiful and calming to watch, but don't get to close or they will sting, whether they want to or not.
About Pain
Pain is an unpleasant experience we've all felt.
