How do international soccer leagues work?
The UEFA Champions Soccer League (International) contains several phases, some are single-elimination, others are league or group format. The main competition has 32 clubs. They qualify directly or must play their way in according to seeding. In the case of Germany, for example, its first 2 clubs automatically make the 32, while the 3rd place club must play its way in.
