How do lions bring down their prey?

Rate This Answer

The lioness does most of the hunting. First, the lion stalks its prey using as much cover as possible and then runs its prey down with a short rapid rush. After the lion leaps on the prey, it goes for its neck and bites the animal until it is strangled to death. Members from the pride quickly surrounds the food to eat- male lions eat first then the cubs. Lions can eat up to 75 pounds of meat at one meal. ChaCha on!
