Thin or small animals bodies function in the same manner as far as oxygen & nutrient exchange at a cellular level. Nutrient exchange is continuous cycle, constantly supplying body with oxygen & nutrients while removing carbon dioxide & metabolic waste. Red blood cells are cells in blood that carry oxygen from lungs to the body tissues through blood pumped by the heart.
