How do you factor a trinomial?
Basically, you reverse the FOIL method to get the factored form. Look for 2 binomials that, when you multiply them, you get the given trinomial. Set up a product of 2 ( ) where each will hold 2 terms. Find the factors that go in the 1st positions. Find the factors that go in the last positions.
