Try some cayenne pepper under your tongue, it will heat up your mouth and the thermometer! Maybe a hot bath before hand? ChaCha!

To fake a fever, wet a washcloth in hot water. Wring it out until hot but dry. Put on your head neck and cheeks for a few minutes.
