Players with the Veteran Gear achievement from Gears of War 2 will earn the golden Gnasher shotgun in Gears of War 3. In Gears of war 3, two stranded can be seen armed with Gnashers, one asking the other to show him the two piece again, the two piece being a popular technique used by players online where they first melee an enemy with the Gnasher equiped and then shoot them for an easy kill. About Gears of War 3

Gears of War 3 is an upcoming third person shooter that will conclude the Gears of War trilogy. Originally set to release in April 2011, the game was pushed back to its final release date of September 20, 2011. An open beta for the game took place in April which helped Gears 3 to set an Xbox 360 pre-order record. The most exciting new feature is the improved 'Horde' mode, but critics also praised the campaign's storyline.
