About Waffles
Waffles are cakes made from batter and cooked in a waffle iron. The waffle iron seems to be the most important part of waffle making. The iron gives the waffle its distinctive characteristics, its shape and the little pits that trap your preferred topping. There are tons of different variations on the shape of waffles, the actual recipe for making waffles and what you put on top of or eat with waffles. Some ideas include butter and syrups, powdered sugar, chocolate, strawberries, blue berries and chicken.
About Egg Whites
In an egg white, the "white" is the part of the egg that surrounds the yolk. It only turns white when cooked because of a chemical change. While the yolk is the primary source of nutrition in an egg, there is some nutrient content to the egg white. The technical name for the egg white is the albumen.
About Egg Yolks
Egg yolks have been getting a bad rep for years, but they are actually very nutritious. Your body needs a certain amount of cholesterol to keep your skin healthy and to help support cell membranes, so as long as your cholesterol level is normal you can consume egg yolks as part of a balanced diet. Eggs are also low in salt content with just 8 mg of sodium contained in 1 egg yolk.
