Having wanted to know this question myself a few weeks ago I did some research and the PS3 Slims are not backwards compatible. Their is nothing you can buy or do to allow you to play PS2 games on the PS3 slim. The first PS3 Fats (80 gig) that came out were the only ones they made to be backwards compatible and then Sony stopped it all together. ChaCha
