Squat down and insert the tube part and push the smaller tube part the take the tube out and make sure the string is hanging out.

I suggest playtex sport. also, when I first learned about putting them in, I didnt get that you have to put the whole applicator in. I thought just the tampon part went in. to be clear: you put the whole applicator in, push the tampon in, then pull the applicator out. point the app toward your back. Slide the applicator a few inches into the vagina. Push the inner tube into the outer tube. Slide the applicator out.
