How do you repair spark plug threads on a car?

Rate This Answer

Put the counterbore into the black metal insert that came with your kit and tighten it, then put it onto a ratchet as if it was a socket. Place the counterbore into the spark plug hole and ratchet it down until it spins freely. It's recommended you spray it down with WD40 before starting this step. Remove the counterbore from the insert, then tighten the reamer into its place. It is recommended you spray it down with WD40 also. ChaCha on!
