How do you turn off the ipod nano?

Rate This Answer

The iPod nano (6th generation) does not have an on/off switch. Instead it manages the battery life by going to sleep when not in use. After 36 hours in standby the iPod nano shuts down automatically. To force the iPod nano to sleep push the Sleep/Wake button which will turn off the screen and cause the iPod to go into standby mode. ChaCha for now!
