How does an estuary form?
An estuary is a partly enclosed coastal body of water with one or more rivers or streams flowing into it, and with a free connection to the open sea. They can be formed due to rising sea levels, sandbars or small islands blocking off areas of sea water, glacial activity, or tectonic shifts that trap sea water inland. ChaCha again soon!
