McDonalds McDonalds keeps their food from spoiling with a number of preservatives. TBHQ is used to preserve oils used for frying. This preservative prevents food from spoiling or getting rancid. A derivative of petroleum, consumption of 1 gm TBHQ can cause ringing ears, suffocation, nausea and vomiting. McDonalds also using BHA and BHT, Calcium Propionate and Sodium Propionate and Sodium acid pyrophosphate, monosodium phosphate and citric acid. Perservatives are even used in the coffee. ChaCha!
