How does the density of ice affects our daily lives?

Rate This Answer

Density determines the weight of everything on Earth. Because ice floats, we can infer that ice must be less dense than water. If water is frozen in a glass jar, the glass jar breaks. If a pop can freezes, it will also burst. From both of the above we infer that the volume of the ice has increased. The density of ice is important with reference to our polar ice caps, if they were to sink, it would affect the freezing/,melting cycle and earth water levels. ChaCha!
