Refund anticipation loans give filers the option to pay a hefty fee to get their expected tax refund on the spot. Oof, what a scam! IRS has proposed banning them because they are concerned that such loans abet tax fraud. How early a tax preparer (as opposed to a real accoutant) is up to them, so you'll have to check your local offices. It'll cost you, though!
