About Venus
Venus is the second planet from the sun, and considered to be Earth's sister planet because it has a similar mass, and composition to Earth. Venus is covered by a thick atmosphere of sulfuric acid so thick that visible light barely penetrates it. It is extremely hot, up to 860 degrees Fahrenheit on the surface of Venus and made hotter by the immense atmospheric pressure, nearly 92 times as the pressure on Earth's surface.
