Grizzly bears can run at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour.They are slower running downhill rather than uphill. ChaCha!
Bears are hardly the lumbering animals they are often portrayed as. They can run at least 50 km/hr (30 m.p.h.) for short bursts.
The National Park service has verified them running as fast as 25 mph, showing no tiring and noting that they run faster on dirt.
