How high do airplanes fly?
It all depends on the type of aircrafts. Normal passenger airlines will be flying at around 30,000 ft or roughly 10,000 meters.

About Airplanes
The modern airplane works by using a jet engine to create forward motion (thrust) accompanied by lift created by the wings. Since ancient times the human species dreamed of flying, and many Greek legends (Icarus, for example) reflect this passionate interest. It wasn't until the Wright Brothers successfully made the first controlled, powered and sustained heavier-than-air human flight on 12/17/03, that the dream became a reality.
