How is it possible for fish to contain fresh water within their bodies?
The kidneys and gills are the two organs used to manage the balance of water in their bodies. If a freshwater fish gets too much water, then the kidney is called upon to dump as much water as possible while retaining the circulating salts. ChaCha!

About Water
Water is by far the most important substance on Earth. Water covers over 70 percent of the planet and makes up between 50 and 75 percent of the human body. In fact, it's one of the only things we are positive needs to be present for life to exist. When scientists look for life in our solar system and on exoplanets, they are looking for liquid water.
