How is the position of the full moon in relation to earth and the sun different from the position of the full venus in relation to earth and the sun?
Full simply means the entire illuminated side of the object (Moon or Venus in this example) would be visible from our viewpoint. Thus a full Moon is when the Earth is between the Moon and the Sun and thus allows us to see the entire sunlight portion of the Moon.
