How long after you have a child should you wait to try for another one?
There is no specific time frame other than wait at least 12 months so that the pelvic wall can heal from the first pregnancy. After having the first baby your hormones will be going crazy and make it easier for you to conceive again. Women have their babies as close as 18 months apart(baby conceived 9months after first baby was born and 20 months apart.
