How long do root canals last and do they hurt?
Figure an hour to an hour and a half if there are no complications for the procedure. You'll probably make at least one, if not two, trips back for a crown. All told, 2 1/2-3 hours. Root canal procedures have the reputation of being painful. ChaCha
