How long do whale sharks live?
Whale sharks are the biggest fish in the sea. The largest ever recorded was 51.5 ft long and weighed more than 21.5 tons. They live in all tropical and warm-temperate seas and their life span is an estimated 70 to 100 years. Whale sharks eat by opening their mouths to a width of 4.5 ft and letting fish swim in.
