How long do you have to work to get unemployment in Illinois?
To qualify for unemployment in IL, you must have earned at least $1,600 during a recent 12-month period known as the base period (see chart below). You must have earned at least $440 outside of the base period quarter in which your earnings were the highest. The staff of your local IDES office can explain the rules in more detail. ChaCha on!
