If the cesarean is an emergency, the time from incision to delivery takes about two minutes. In a non-emergency, a cesarean birth can take 10 to 15 minutes, with an additional 45 minutes for the delivery of the placenta and suturing of the incisions.

This is extremely variable. The average length of time for a first baby (and its placenta) to be born, once a mother is in active labor, is 12 hours.

Closing your uterus and belly will take a lot longer than opening you up, usually about 30 minutes. The whole procedure is 45mins.
