Lemon juice is an acid and can harm your teeth. You may end up with a LOT of cavities and irreparably damaged tooth enamel. The reason that lemon juice 'works' is that it causes the teeth to lose calcium. Calcium is a major component of healthy teeth, and once it is lost, your teeth become very susceptible to decay. Do not use lemon juice for whitening. ChaCha!

About Lemon
A lemon is a yellow oval shaped citrus fruit. They have a very distinct sour taste which makes them great for cooking, baking and use in drinks. Lemon juice is also acidic, which not only makes them great for school science experiments, but can be used to cook seafood and useful in cleaning applications as well. Some great ideas for cooking with and/or making drinks with lemons include lemon gelato, limoncello, lemon meringue pie, lemonade, lemon sherbet, and lemon bars.
About Teeth
Teeth are small, white structures made of calcium that are found in the jaw bone of animals and humans. The shape of an animal's teeth determine what that animal eats. Herbivores eat plants, which are hard to digest. As a result they have a mouth full of molars to grind and chew their food. Carnivores eat meat, so their teeth are designed to kill prey and rip flesh. Humans are omnivores, so we have a little of both.
