How long does it take the body to rid itself of the cholesterol and triglycerides?
Only about 3 hours max, usually. The reason they want you to not eat 9-12 hours before your test, is because the cholesterol doesn’t immediately Enter your bloodstream. Of course it has to travel to the stomach, and then get to your small intestine where the vast majority is going to be absorbed. ChaCha!
