How long will Playstation Network be down for?

Some functions of the U.S. PlayStation Network are down and Sony Computer Entertainment America will soon report back with more information.A post on the PlayStation Blog confirms that only certain functions of the PSN are down. We don’t have any other information to report at this time. Connection to the network has been sporadic throughout the day for some (including this user), so hopefully a fix will come soon so we can get back to some Mortal Kombat online. ChaCha On!

The PlayStation Network is Sony's free online multiplayer gaming and digital media service for the PlayStation 3, PSP, and PS Vita. The service started in 2006, and currently has over 77 million registered accounts. On April 19, 2011, the PlayStation Network was the target of a massive hack, as the personal information of millions of users was stolen. The service went down for nearly a month before coming back online in the US.
