Utah is found in the western United States. It is bordered by Idaho on the north, Wyoming on the northeast, Arizona on the south, Colorado on the east and Nevada on the west. The majority of the state is of arid climate but there are some pockets that see an abundance of moisture. Some of the mountainous areas have received more than 500 inches of snow within a year. Temperatures in the winter average about 30 degrees where temperatures in the summer average about 85 degrees.
