How many days after easter does pentecost occur?
Pentecost was originally an Old Testament festival, since the time of Josephus calculated as beginning on the fiftieth day after the beginning of Passover. In the Christian calendar, it falls on the seventh Sunday after Easter. ChaCha again!

About Easter
Easter is a Christian commemoration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ that is celebrated on the Sunday following the first full moon of the vernal equinox. Easter 2011 falls on Sunday, April 24th. Easter is the central religious feast in the Christian liturgical year, but is also celebrated by non-Christians too. Easter egg hunts, the Easter bunny, and candy are some longstanding Easter traditions. Read more about the holiday and see some facts about Easter on the left-hand side of the page!
