About Gas
Gas is technically a state of matter where molecules are in an excited state, but is more often used as a reference to the fuel, gasoline. Gasoline is also known as petrol due to its derivation from petroleum.
About Fuel economy
Fuel economy is the relationship between distance traveled and the amount of fuel that is used. The miles that can be traveled off of one gallon of gas is called miles per gallon (MPG).
About MPG
MPG is an acronym for miles per gallon. This refers to how many miles an automobile can travel on one gallon of gas. This number is normally broken down into two different categories: city driving and highway driving. A car will achieve better MPG on the highway due to less frequent stop and go driving.
