How many plants were admitted to the endangered species list while Nixon was in office?
While Richard Nixon was in office, the Endangered Species Act was signed. The first list of endangered species was issued under the act. It included 14 mammals, 36 birds, 6 reptiles and amphibians and 22 fish. Plants were not included in the original declaration. Thank you for asking ChaCha!
