About Ronald Reagan
Ronald Reagan was the 40th President of the United States (1981-1989). He is credited with deregulation of the economy, reducing government spending, Reaganomics (reducing taxes to stimulate economic growth). This is sometimes referred to as 'supply-side economics' or 'trickle-down economics). He was also known for his hard stance towards the Soviet Union, which he dubbed 'The Evil Empire.' He is considered a conservative icon and a realist regarding economic policy because, while he advocated less government spending, he also raised taxes eleven times during his eight years as president.
About George Bush
George W. Bush was the 43rd President of the United States who was in office from 2001-2009. He previously was the Governor of Texas from 1995-2000 and was a co-owner of the Texas Rangers professional baseball team. He is also the son of George H. W. Bush who was the 41st President.
