How many years have NASA recorded the distance the moon moves from the earth?
I was not able to find any history of the tracking of the movement of the moon by NASA, but the orbit of the moon is now being tracked by NASA engineers firing a laser 28 times per second at a Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter circling the moon. ChaCha!
