About Vermouth
Vermouth is a type of wine flavored with herbs and spices like cardamom, cinnamon, marjoram and chamomile. It comes in unsweetened, sweetened or dry varieties and is often used in cocktails or cooking. Vermouth was developed in 1786 after Antonio Benedetto Carpano was inspired by a german wine flavored with wormwood, which is one of the main ingredients in absinthe.
