Exemptions are claimed on Form W-4, allowing an employee to reduce the amount of withholding tax deducted from each paycheck. The more exemptions claimed, the smaller the withholding amount. Conversely, claiming "0" exemptions will result in the maximum amount of tax being withheld. ChaCha!
