On October 15, 2008, Mountain Dew's logo was redesigned to Mtn Dew, as a result of a PepsiCo rebranding of its core products. However, the flavors LiveWire, Code Red, and Voltage still use the previous design as of September 2010.

Mountain Dew is a citrus soft drink manufactured by PepsiCo. The original formula was developed in the 1940’s in the southern US by Bill (William) Jones. In 1964, the soft drink was distributed across the United States. As of October 15th, 2008 the soft drink logo was redesigned as a shortened version of the full name as just 'Mtn Dew'
