A former figure skater, Vera Wang is an American fashion designer. After 16 years as a senior fashion editor for Vogue magazine, Wang worked as creative director for Ralph Lauren for two years. In 1990 she began designing her own line of bridal gowns, for which she is now renowned. Wang has become one of the most sought-after bridal designers in the world, creating wedding gowns for A-list celebrities and elite politicians.
