About Xbox Live
Xbox Live is an online multiplayer and entertainment hub for the Xbox 360 video game console. It first ran on the original Xbox, but that service was discontinued on April 15, 2010. A group of dedicated players kept the old version of the service alive until May 11, 2011 by continuously playing a game of Halo 2. The modern version of Xbox Live features an amazing amount of content from various entertainment sources, but the Xbox Live 'Gold' account required to access this content costs $60 per year.
