About Jupiter
Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun in our solar system, and the largest. Jupiter is 1/1000th the size of the sun, and at least twice as big as every other planet in our system. In fact, it is so big, you could put 1,321 earths inside the planet, but only 318 times as massive. It is a gas giant comprised largely of hydrogen with a just about a quarter of the mass being helium. Jupiter has a small ring system and over 63 moons. It looks like it has stacks of bands, and the most prominent feature is The Great Red Spot, a hurricane three times the size of Earth that has been raging for the last 500 years. Jupiter is the 3rd brightest object in the night sky after the moon and Venus.
